Range Rover Evoque

The British car maker, Land Rover, produces high quality four wheel drive vehicles. The majority of its vehicles are perfect choices for consumers to take camping. One particular model that works well for camping is the Range Rover Evoque.

As with most vehicles, the Range Rover Evoque comes with different engine options. Of all the options perhaps the best is the 2.2 litre 187 bhp turbodiesel engine which has a strong pick-up without excessive fuel usage. The other option in turbodiesel is an engine that only puts out 148 bhp. This particular engine may have more difficulty when taking it off road on a camping trip. There is an option for a petrol engine which has an impressive 247 bhp. However, this particular motor is not economical in its fuel consumption. The 187 bhp turbodiesel is ideal for camping purposes.

The cabin of the Evoque is spacious with adequate leg and head room for taller people. There is storage space in the boot but not as much as some other similar models in its class. The steering of the Evoque is responsible and quick. Many imperfections in the surface of the road are not felt in the cabin with the design of the suspension system. This vehicle does come in a 2WD option. However, it is the standard 4WD option that should be used for camping. The 2 WD vehicle doesn’t travel as comfortably in rugged terrain as its 4WD cousin.

Safety features abound in the Evoque. Both drivers and passengers have airbags in the Evoque. Also, knee airbags are featured for the driver. However, Land Rover did not stop here. They also added side curtain airbags as well as thorax airbags, making this vehicle quite safe.
