A Celebration of Ferrari's 1000th Grand Prix

Ferrari presented this Wednesday the livery of its single-seater for the Grand Prix de Toscane which will celebrate the 1000th start of the Italian team in F1. That’s an event international online players will have loved to witness.

While amazing new cars will be launched this year, the Maranello-based company has come up with a series of initiatives, starting with a festive livery, to honour this unique anniversary.

The SF1000 for the entire Tuscan weekend will take to the track with an amaranth-coloured livery that exactly reproduces the shade of red with which the first Formula 1 single-seaters of the Prancing Horse, the 125 F1, took to the track during the Grand Prix de Monaco on 21 May 1950.

Since then, Ferrari has always been there, in every championship, for 71 years. Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel will also be wearing special suits for this unique race, while the public will return to the stands for the first time since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has forced the scheduled calendar to be reviewed.

The pandemic that the whole world has experienced this year has not only impacted the presence of the public on the edge of the runway. In fact, all sports competitions were paused or stopped during the season. And this had a strong impact on other industries. One saw its odds drop to a low point, the other experienced a spike in popularity as it was able to replace the first one.

Indeed, the fans gradually turned into online enthusiasts all over the world. This is made easier when you realize that many top online casinos allow international players to play. Whether it is poker, blackjack or roulette, many people have made their attempts during this unprecedented period. It is possible to take your seat at a virtual table of your choice against real opponents and real dealers, which adds an extra interest to the game. And it didn't stop with the return of competition, as gamblers now juggle between these two activities in an attempt to maximize their wins.

The celebrations will also involve the proximity of Florence, with an event that will take place in the heart of the city on Saturday evening and will be broadcast on the Scuderia Ferrari website and social networks.

"A milestone as important as the Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix 1000 in the Formula 1 World Championship could not fail to be marked by something special." said Piero Ferrari, Vice President of the Italian brand.

"That's why we have decided to dedicate a commemorative livery to the event: the SF1000 will take to the Mugello track with the amaranth red colour that characterised the 125 S, the first race car to bear the Ferrari name."

"The drivers' suits will also be in amaranth. The race numbers of Charles and Sebastian's cars also carry on the tradition of the 50s, when they were hand-painted on the bodywork."

"It is a tribute to our origins: this is where the extraordinary history of Ferrari begins, characterised by the constant desire to compete with the desire to build road cars that are exceptional in terms of technology and design."

"Ferrari is a unique company in the world because its soul is that of both a car manufacturer and a sports team, an inseparable link that no one has ever questioned."

"Only a few months ago, nobody would have imagined that the thousandth race could be done."

"I am delighted that with the official name of the Grand Prix, Formula 1 wanted to pay tribute to Ferrari, the only team that has been around for over seventy years in the history of the sport."
