Classic Endurance Series race report
As usually these great classic cars from endurance, Can-Am and GT racing had their one-hour race. We have seen a very powerful Ferrari Can-Am to win a CER race here for the first time after its engine blew last year after several laps behind a safety car. This year we had a great entry of almost 60 cars. One of the favourites of the last few seasons, Jena-Marc Luco, in a Porsche 936 spun in the first lap after overtaking the Ferrari but braking too late. Then it imrpoved from about 10th to about 4th but spun again and turned into the pits, from which it never returned.

We had there a lot of mid-70 nice spiders excelently supporting the leaders, either 2-litre or even 3-litre spiders (Duckhams, couple of Lola T280, Gulf-Mirage, Porsche 908/03), three Can-Am cars (apart from the Ferrari, it was a Lola T70 and for the first time also Elva-built McLaren M1B. None of those but the Ferrari was really competitive.

Group 5 Silhouette cars were represented by only a lone Porsche 935 this time, and a pretty slow one, but there were a lot of former Group 4 Sports car from the late 1960s, like Lola T70 Coupe or Chevron B8 & B16. There was also a strong field among the Ground Touring cars, mainly dominated by great BMW M1s, which were well supported by several Corvettes, many 911 derivates and especiall exceptionally quich De Tomaso Pantera.
