The 30th edition of the Tour Auto Optic 2000 was to take place from 19th to 24th April 2021.
Due to the different national and international measures and restrictions applied to major large-scale events the decision has been taken to postpone the 30th Tour Auto Optic 2ooo from 30th August to 4th September 2021.
The itinerary remains unchanged with the start from Paris and the finish in Nice.
The 30th Tour Auto Optic 2000 will celebrate this year the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta and the Jaguar MK II.

Tuesday, August 31, the 210 competitors (competition and regularity) left the capital for five days of competition on 4 circuits and 10 special stages.
For my part, I went to the Ledenon (stage 4) and Paul Ricard (stage 5) circuits.

Ledenon
The rain, which had spared the competitors since the start of the day, made a grand entrance on the Ledenon circuit.
The day finally made it possible to decide and define the leader of the regularity grid on this fourth stage.
The Ferrari 275 GTB # 52 of Brocades Zaalberg Oscar/Drapeau Vincent finally took the lead.

On the competition grid, the battle rages on the first three steps of the podium between the Matra MS 650 # 251 of Mr John of B/Sibel, the Porsche 911 2,3L ST # 272 of Beck Urs/Schaffer Christina and the media duo Pernaut Olivier/Cohen Grégory in Alfa Romeo 1750 GTAM # 278.
And yet their technical configurations are totally different: rear engine on the Porsche, front engine on the Alfa Romeo and central one on the Matra.
On the VHC side, Van Riet Christophe/Werner Eric (Shelby Cobra 289 #210) still lead the game, closely followed by Berchon Sébastien/Bordier Sébastien (Jaguar E-Type 3,8L).

Paul Ricard
The final leg began this morning and the competitors set off for the iconic Paul-Ricard circuit where they could show the true performance of their cars on the 3.8-km track.
The sun escorted the whole caravan from the start of this last day. One that was open with a special on the Paul Ricard circuit during which the Matra MS 650 S was able to deploy all its capabilities, especially in the straight line of the mistral but also on other portions of the circuit where the pilot showed a magnificent driving style.
