Both divisions started together. When overall grid positions are not known, the Division grid positions increased by 100 are shown instead.
There were 139 starters in all classes, only DRM cars are listed. Overall winner was Xavier Perrot in March 722 ahead of Reinhold Jöst in Porsche 908/03, other two F2s and Porsche 917/10 driven by Michel Weber. Another Porsche 908/03 was eighth driven by Juan Fernandez. There was 20 starters in sports car class and 24 in Special GT Group 4, which was not allowed in DRM in 1972.
